五感で楽しむアラビアンナイト
スパイスの香り、鷹のシルエット、砂の感触、太鼓のリズム、そしてラム肉の味――五感すべてが刺激される夜でした。フードライターとして色々な食体験をしてきましたが、砂漠の星空の下で食べるマクルーバは特別な味がします。ベリーダンスのパフォーマンスも圧巻でした。

A food writer's dream come true
フードライターとして世界中の市場を取材してきましたが、築地場外の活気と新鮮さは別格です。特に朝一番のマグロの競りの臨場感は忘れられません。ガイドの吉田さんが紹介してくれた裏路地の玉子焼き屋さん、あの甘くてふわふわの味が今でも恋しいです。

Charming but abandoned-feeling
20km to the nearest village. No cell signal. No landline. The owner, a lovely elderly woman named Mrs. MacLeod, runs the entire retreat by herself. She told me over tea that she's been looking for someone to take over the property — "I can't do another winter alone up here," she said. The house is beautiful but crumbling in places. I felt more lonely than relaxed. Would not recommend for solo travelers.
